This story on Steve Lawson was reported by Monica Hart on KIRO TV Seattle, as part of a series of reports called "People You Should Know". This segment aired in 1992 on "Seven :30 with Steve Raible".

In 1991 Steve Lawson partnered with Ann Wilson and Nancy Wilson of HEART and Lawson Productions became Bad Animals/Seattle.

Studio X at Bad Animals/Seattle attracted top US acts like R.E.M., Neil Young, Soundgarden, Pearl Jam, Alice in Chains and more while the production team at Bad Animals/Seattle won numerous National Emmy awards for their breakthrough sound design for the PBS and syndicated TV series Disney Presents, Bill Nye the Science Guy.
