Steve Lawson began to gain experience in business and communication at a very early age. He and his cousin Sam began building radio stations in their homes when they were nine years old.

VERY EARLY YEARS

KING RADIO DAYS

LAWSON PRODUCTIONS

Steve Lawson broadcasts on KSAM Radio Station which he founded at Sammamish High School in Bellevue, WA
Steve Lawson was an on-air personality at KING-AM Radio in Seattle during the 1970's broadcasting as "Scott Terry"
Steve Lawson left KING Radio in 1979 to found Lawson Productions which later became Bad Animals/Seattle

Steve Lawson built his first radio station in his parent’s home at the age of 9. High School Radio and KRAB FM followed.






Steve was known as Scott Terry on KING Radio Eleven, until he became Steve Lawson the KING Radio Production Director. Steve was also the voice of KING TV.



Steve left KING Broadcasting in 1979 and founded Steve Lawson Productions, a recording studio specializing in audio for broadcast, and corporate communication.

Steve Lawson is Executive Producer of Children's Music Fund, Inc., and the founder of Christmas in the Northwest

In 1991 Steve took on business partners for the first time, and with Ann and Nancy Wilson of HEART built one of the most incredible music recording studios ever built in the world.

In 1999 Steve sold Bad Animals/Seattle to an investor led group of employees and began traveling the world for Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen.




Steve and his wife Debbie created the Christmas in the Northwest music project in 1985 to raise money for Seattle’s Children’s Hospital.

Steve Lawson was on the original launch team for Sirius Satellite Radio

Steve was on-board for the launch of Sirius Satellite Radio.

The entrepreneurial bug bit Steve Lawson again in 2001 and he Founded Friendly Voice, Inc., a consultancy specializing in electronic and on line communication.
